CINCINNATI (OH) – January 12, 2010: A guest column written by Vehr Communications’ Founder and CEO, Nick Vehr, was published in the Sunday, December 26, 2009 Opinion section of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Vehr submitted the column at the request of the Editorial Page Editor which was referenced in that edition’s lead editorial.
The article titled, “New decade, good momentum,” urges optimism for the next decade and reflects on significant successes in light of obvious economic, political and social challenges since 2001. Vehr references capital projects such as the Banks development, a renovated Duke Energy Center, a new Fountain Square, Over-the-Rhine Gateway Quarter and the reshaping Cincinnati’s skyline with the ongoing construction of its tallest building, Great American Tower at Queen City Square.
According to Vehr, “Cincinnati’s progress is undeniable. Of course, challenges persist here as they do with any American city. In this past decade, I think Cincinnatians have learned to work together – better than at any time in our history – and that provides me and many others with great optimism for the coming decade. I was proud that Enquirer editor Ray Cooklis sought my input and was honored to share it with the newspapers’ readers.”
