Great points! The fact that you didn't have a lapse in asking a question and getting information makes all the difference. The uncertain consumer is the unhappy consumer, and even though all isn't rosy at AA, the airline is still smart enough to consider how its brand will be perceived going forward.

Also consider this, the Patriots are solid year in and year out. Have been for a long, long time. They have many recent championships under their belt. The Jets are a flash-in-the-pan outfit that is still paying its dues. As usual, the Patriots have had many reasons to brag over the last decade. The Jets have only managed to put together two decent seasons.

Class wins out everytime. Patriots have it. Jets do not. It all starts at the top. Good article!

From Nina Garcia's bizarre insistence on Gretchen Jones as the winner of Project Runway to Maura Kelly's vile article and Joanna Coles' defense of same, it almost seems like there is a concerted effort from their own ranks to drive Marie Claire out of business. I'm scratching my head trying to imagine how the magazine could possibly look on the thousands of pledges to cancel subscriptions (even if only half follow through), as a positive. Is this perhaps, a brand new business model that I'm just not understanding?

Gosh, thank you. I have, but my fiction up until now has only been pseudonymous, alas. If my search for a new agent pans out, my fiction will bear my name and I'll be shouting it from the rooftops (ie. my blog).

Vibey, thanks for the comment. I think identifiable self-loathing has legs as a genre (and likely already exists masked as "humor").

I enjoyed your blog post as well. I won't buy Ms. Kelly's book, but let me know if you ever publish one!

Brilliant, as is the accompanying pic.

I considered that Kelly might be garnering notoriety in preparation for the publication of her novel, but dismissed it. If she's aiming for chick-lit, Helen Fielding has proven without shadow of a doubt that the market enjoys a good line in self-loathing, but only when identifying with the heroine/writer.

First of all, Go Big Blue! I have to say I get disappointed with the "trend" that seems to follow our football team around from year to year, but I'm so happy for them and for this HUGE win!

More importantly, I understand why Joker Phillips may have deleted Cobb's post in this situation, but in general, I think the beauty of Social Media is that it allows people to express thoughts and opinions in a raw and real way. Of course there has to be a certain level of respect and dignity maintained by all in order for comments to be considered credible, but in general, I say let people speak their minds. After all, it's the radical comments that have changed history and made a difference.

A self-proclaimed high school jock, I would have been reading the scoreboard versus a musical score any day of the week. Also, I can't carry a tune. Trust me, I have tried. Neither frequent appearances in karaoke bars in college nor my shower acoustics have proved helpful.

Gratefully, my love of music has expanded (thanks Pandora!) and my appreciation of choirs has recently skyrocketed. As a Vehr Communications employee and 2012 World Choir Games team member, I was afforded the opportunity to attend the 6th World Choir Games and listen to dynamic choirs from all over the world. I became instantly enthralled by choir member's determination, work ethic and tenacity. It was evident choirs worked hard ... really hard. The music was fun, sassy, colorful ... I was hooked.

Choral music’s popularity has ebbed and flowed throughout time and is currently at an all time high. The World Choir Games connects people through their love of music and personally, has opened my eyes to this ancient art form. Glee is doing just that for so many as evident by the millions of self-declared “gleeks”. I side with the defense, and ask, what is the harm?
